Internet-based Cognitive Behavioral Intervention Reduces Anxiety and Depression Symptoms in Young People
A scientific study assessed the effectiveness of a cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) intervention delivered via videoconferencing to Brazilian children and adolescents with high levels of emotional symptoms. The results showed significant reductions in anxiety and depression symptoms among the study participants.
Symptoms in 280 individuals aged 8 to 17 were assessed using the Revised Child Anxiety and Depression Scale (RCADS-25). Assessments were conducted at three time points: before treatment, at the end of the intervention, and 30 days after its completion.
