Developmental predictors of suicide attempts from childhood to early adulthood: a 15-year prospective cohort study
Researchers followed more than 2,000 children in Brazil over 15 years — from childhood into early adulthood — and found that exposure to violence and bullying during childhood, suicide attempts by caregivers, and behavioral disorders were among the factors strongly associated with later suicide attempts.
The study was published in the journal The Lancet Regional Health – Americas.
